I've been working as a commercial artist and web designer for many years. All my life I have had an interest in art in many ways, but never thought I had a liking for photography. I've been surrounded by art since I was born. My father is a painter, my uncle was an actor and my grandfather was a great writer and a very romantic poet. So I guess it's all in the genes. What I am today is thanks to them, thanks Dad!.

I think I started like most people do, buy a small camera and after a while change that camera for a better one and so on and so forth. Well, I think that you know what I mean!

As my photography interest grew I eagerly learned the theory of photography allowing me to capture what I saw, in my own way. I have studied through reading, but mastered by practice, and the results are what matters. Every situation is a new challenge, and behind every picture is another challenge conquered.

Being a photographer has given me a new frontier with web designing. One of the things that help you design a cutting-edge website is having great pictures in it. Now that I've been working as a web designer for a long time, I have another tool for my designs and that's my own personal photographer… myself.

I appreciate that you take your time to see my website and my portfolio.

At the National Geographic Image Collection
After some time sending photos to the NG gallery now one of those photos is part of the National Geographic Image Collection. This is another example of what I said in the Hispanic Excecutive magazine interview... While some photographers take dozens of shots to get the “right one” Soto prefers to limit himself to two shots of the situation. “For me that is where the art is. It isn’t about getting a lucky shot, I feel like I really work for it,” said Soto. To see the original photo click here.
